Egyptian Grey Goose full shot

Our friendly Egyptian Grey Goose

This Egyptian Grey Goose has taken residence at Purgatory. He appears to be comfortable around our staff and guests. We called the Indianapolis Zoo to find out the name of his breed, and his origin which is apparently Madagascar. Seems like a disconnect, but who are we to question the naming traditions of wildlife. This photo was taken by junior golfer Clay  Merchent, thank you Clay for capturing this image!

Sunrise At Purgatory Golf Club

I Have an Awesome Job

Eighteen green just before sunrise

Eighteen green just before sunrise

Friday morning at 5:40 I was in the dark parking lot of Purgatory Golf Club getting ready for this photo shoot. It was cool and misty as you can see. A perfect day for both golf and photography.

James Brown and Larry Wilk were kind enough to have the bobcat all ready on the fairway with the flat in place so all I had to do was climb on and get hoisted up to capture these shots.

After photographing the sunrise over 18 green, I stopped to take a couple of pictures of the club house from across the lake. The mist on the lake and the golf course made me feel like I was in Pebble Beach.

And what were you doing Friday morning at the crack of dawn?
