Remember the PT Cruiser that was wrapped with the Golf Digest image of the 17th hole? People used to knock on my window at the bank and ask me if I had a scorecard. One guest told me he almost wrecked his car when he saw me driving down the road.
When we had children, I upgraded to a little tougher car, and we sold the PT. Now we have a minivan. I’m pretty sure I heard all of you gasp in horror. “Oh no, not a minivan!” Well the advantage to the dreaded minivan is it has satellite TV and outlets for the video games. On a long drive, it’s a life saver.
So now I’m considering wrapping the minivan in beautiful images from the golf course. I know the movie Get Shortie attempted to make minivans hip, but that was a short lived boost. So my question to you is, will it damage our brand. Do men detest minivans so much that if they see one adorned with Purgatory images and our logo, will we now be the soccer mom’s golf course?Tags: branding, logo, minivan
